Johan Alexander Santana Araque (born March 13, 1979) is a Major League Baseball left-handed starting pitcher who plays for the Minnesota Twins. He is a 2-time American League Cy Young Award winner and is widely considered the best active pitcher in Major League Baseball.
In 4 of the last 5 seasons, Santana has held a sub 3.00 ERA. That is simply amazing. He has also thrown for over 230 strikeouts in each of his last three seasons.
Santana is a perenial All-Star and dominant pitcher in the American League. The only concerns for Santana are with his contract and the Twins. Hopefully they get it resolved so he can held this ball club get back to the World Series.
